Roger A. Hubbard, PhD

Roger Hubbard

Dr. Roger Hubbard provides scientific and executive leadership to Geneuity and its parent company, Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, Inc. (MPLN).
In 1989, Dr. Hubbard founded MPLN after completing doctoral studies in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and subsequent training in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He holds the academic rank of adjunct associate professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and holds the High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director certification from the American Board of Bioanalysis.

Dr. Hubbard is a laboratory inspector within the Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Hubbard is a clinical scientist member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and a charter member of the Clinical Cytometry Society. He has written numerous publications in the areas of clinical flow cytometry, molecular immunology, infectious disease diagnostic testing and molecular oncology.

Neil B. Quigley, PhD
Vice President, Geneuity

Neil Quigley

Dr. Neil Quigley directs all the research services of Geneuity and is responsible for new test development and clinical trials. Dr. Quigley has more than 20 years of molecular genetics research experience and is a member of the American Society for Microbiology and the Association for Molecular Pathology.

Before joining Geneuity’s parent company, Dr. Quigley was a research assistant professor of microbiology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and director of the UT Molecular Biology Resource Facility. Dr. Quigley received his doctoral degree from the University of Auckland in New Zealand and completed post-doctoral training in Australia and at Washington State University.
Robin D. Zimmer, PhD
Vice President, Business Development

Robin Zimmer

Dr. Rob Zimmer focuses on business development and assists in expanding Geneuity’s clinical trials testing and research services business.

Dr. Zimmer was a special consultant to the US Patent and Trade Office for computational DNA sequence analysis and intellectual property. He is the former president and owner of ApoCom Genomics, one of the largest commercial providers of DNA analysis software now used by pharmaceutical and biotech researchers worldwide.

Dr. Zimmer curently serves as board of director for Epic Secure Solutions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Lycoming College, a master’s degree at Long Island University and a doctoral degree in environmental toxicology from Rutgers University. He is a former director on the Board of the Tennessee Biotechnology Association and a former member of the Governor’s Task Force on Biotechnology. Dr. Zimmer also served as director of strategic planning and business development for IT Corporation, focusing on the strategic expansion of the firm’s 18 analytical laboratories.

Jacqueline Seabrook
Vice President, Marketing

Jacky Seabrook

Jacky Seabrook is responsible for business development and marketing for Geneuity. With more than 20 years experience in marketing and product development, her expertise is with in-vitro diagnostics commercialization.

Prior to joining Geneuity’s parent company, Seabrook held strategic, tactical and product marketing positions with Beckman Coulter and Coulter Corporation in the U.S. Her laboratory experience includes immunology and microbiology. Seabrook holds a bachelor’s degree in medical technology and a fellowship in immunology.

L. Ranee Taylor, PhD
Associate Director, Business Development


Ranee Taylor

Dr. Ranee Taylor is responsible for business development of Geneuity’s clinical trials and research services. Dr. Taylor has more than 14 years of experience in molecular biology and research development. Prior to joining Geneuity, Dr. Taylor served as a research associate in the Department of Medicine at The University of Iowa and as a consultant for Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Dr. Taylor received her doctorate in Human and Molecular Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed post-doctoral training in molecular immunology at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Taylor is a cum laude graduate of Baylor University, with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Taylor has authored a number of publications in the areas of molecular genetics and immunology and received several National Research Service Awards. She is a member of the East Tennessee Economic Council and a past board member of the Knoxville Academy of Medicine Alliance.

Lynn Ryals, PhD
Account Manager

Lynn Ryals, PhD

Dr. Lynn Ryals has more than 25 years experience in the clinical laboratory industry. During that period he co-founded two human identity laboratories. He has also served in many capacities in the laboratory industry including clinical trials project management, technical director and director of sales and marketing. Dr. Ryals served as clinical trials project manager for one of the largest centralized clinical research testing laboratories in the country. In that position he managed a large multinational trial for a major pharmaceutical company in RTP, NC. Dr. Ryals has served as an account manager in the molecular diagnostics area at Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network for the past nine years and brings extensive experience in serving the molecular diagnostics needs of physicians.

Tara Ruddy
Account Manager

Tara Ruddy

Tara Ruddy is Geneuity’s client account manager. Prior to joining Geneuity, Ruddy was the senior sales executive with Biocare Medical, LLC, where she managed a five-state client territory for capital and consumable sales. She was the senior account manager at Applied Imaging Corporation responsible for automated image analysis capital equipment sales.
A 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, Ruddy also worked as a core pathology research associate at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she was responsible for clinical and research specimen projects and optimization of novel laboratory protocols.
